Unlike standard rim locks intended for inward-swinging doors, this reverse bolt model ensures the latch and deadbolt correctly engage with the strike plate when the door opens away from the frame. Constructed from robust steel, it features an epoxy black finish with a corrosion rating of 2, making it suitable for occasionally damp or rural environments such as outbuildings, sheds, and sheltered garden gates. The lock includes a 43mm backset and a 13.5mm bolt throw for dependable security. As a sashlock, it provides the dual function of a spring-loaded latch for daily access and a key-operated deadbolt for overnight security. This surface-mounted solution is ideal for narrow timber stiles where internal morticing is not preferred.
