Description

This Intumescent Letterbox features an ABS frame and metal flaps, fitted with a specialized intumescent liner designed for fire door assemblies. The external size is 272mm x 70mm, finished in Polished Gold with a Black Frame. In the event of a fire, the intumescent liner expands rapidly to seal the letterbox opening, preventing the spread of fire and smoke while maintaining the fire integrity of the door assembly. It is Fire tested to BS 476 part 22 and BS EN 1634-1. The letterbox features an adjustable telescopic sleeve to suit door thicknesses between 40mm and 80mm. Additional features include a fully sealed backplate, fitted brush pile draught excluders, and integral sound dampening bumpers, helping it achieve a 32dB Rw Acoustic Rating. It is also Smoke tested to BS 476 part 31/1: 1983 and Security tested to BS EN 13724 standards.
