Description

This Intumescent Letterbox is designed to maintain the fire integrity of a door assembly while offering acoustic and security benefits. The external size is 272mm x 70mm, featuring a Polished Silver finish and a Black Frame. The unit is fire tested to BS EN 1634-1 and BS 476 part 22, providing a 30-minute fire rating. The integrated intumescent liner expands rapidly when exposed to fire, sealing the opening to prevent the spread of fire and smoke. It features an adjustable telescopic sleeve to accommodate door thicknesses ranging from 40mm to 80mm. For user comfort and energy efficiency, it includes fitted brush pile draught excluders and internal sound dampening bumpers, achieving a 32dB Rw Acoustic Rating. The letterbox is also smoke tested and security tested to BS EN 13724 standards. Fixings are included for installation.
